Please note that we don't currently accept insurance.  If that is a limitation, we certainly understand.  We recommend contacting your insurance provider to determine whether or not an out-of-network provider is acceptable and reimbursable (either wholly or in part).  This varies greatly according to the company and specific plan.  Fees for counseling/therapy vary by provider.  We typically like to see patients weekly at first and then fade to biweekly or as needed when tolerated.  

Psychologists:  Session fees are $200 for initial session; $175/50-minute follow-up session.  

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist:  $160 for initial session; $140/50-minute follow-up session.  Couples session are $160 per session.

Licensed Mental Health Counselors:  $160 for initial session; $140/50-minute follow-up session.

School Psychologist:  $160 for initial session; $140/50-minute follow-up session.

Behavior Analyst:  $160 for initial session; $140/50-minute follow-up session. 

Depending on your specific plan, our services may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement from health insurance plans that include mental health benefits.  

The following questions are provided as a courtesy for you to inquire regarding your insurance plans mental health benefits if you would like to pursue out-of-network reimbursement:

* Do I have mental health benefits as part of my insurance/health plan?

* Does my mental health coverage offer "out-of-network" reimbursement?

* Does reimbursement require pre-approval or referral by my primary care physician?

* Do I have a deductible? If so, how much is it and have I met it yet?

* What are the limits of my coverage? (sessions per year, amount per session, etc.)

* Are telehealth (video or phone) services reimbursable in addition to face-to-face services?

* What is the "usual and customary rate" for each service? (In healthcare terms, an initial evaluation is coded as a 90791, a 45 min. therapy session is a 90834, a psychological evaluation is 96101.)

First things first - we will talk with you with an initial contact to determine if we are a good fit for your particular needs.  If so, the following timelines may help:

Evaluations:  For gifted evaluations, we are typically able to schedule within 1-2 weeks.  For more comprehensive evaluations (learning disability, ADHD, social/emotional evaluations), we are typically able to schedule within 1-3 months.  Evaluation results are made available in verbal feedback meetings with a comprehensive report approximately 2-3 weeks after all information needed for the evaluation is received and testing is completed.  Typically parent(s) and teacher(s) will be asked to complete questionnaires in addition to testing.  It is important that these questionnaires are returned in a timely manner such that the evaluation can be completed.

Therapy:  If you are new to Southeastern Behavioral Health, you will be matched with a provider that specializes in the area of your need.  Provider availability varies throughout the year.  Please call our office to discuss availability of providers or book a complimentary 15-minute consultation online (see tab at top of page).
